Sabhal Mòr Ostaig - I'm loved it!
I am just back from a weeks short course at Sabhal mòr Ostaig and it was brilliant.
I studied level three, which was work I had already done, but gave me a chance to "really" get my head around it. I had Muriel Fisher as a teacher, and she was fantastic. She has a unique "tool" for capturing the imagination, little toy animals.
They provide a fun way of having something to talk about when that shutter comes down in your brain and you can't think of anything to say in gaelic.... so you make up stories about these animals instead.
I fully intend to "up" the level of my gaelic studies now that I am back, emphasising the spoken language. And getting rid of the Glasgow accent I am using with Gaelic.
To see my progress you can view my blog from the links on this site. The blog is entirely in gaelic and shows my progress from complete beginner to the stage I am currently at.

There are lots of classes at both colleges and community centres whereyou can learn gaelic, but if you want to experience an all gaelic evironment you really should Scotland's first gaelic college
