Learning to snowboard (well slide dow the slope on my bum) ...
I started learning to snowboard just over a year ago at the dry snow slope in Bellahouston, Glasgow.
It's a fantastic complex, sporting three slopes of varying size and a great wee clubhouse to have a pint in afterwards while you nurse your bruises.
Trust me there are a lot of bruises.
The biggest difference between real snow and an artificial slope is that when you fall... it really hurts!

If you fancy having a go at snowboarding yourself, I would recommend taking some lessons. It's a lot harder than it looks and like most adventure sports, it can be dangerous if you don't take care..
